  • Manhattan audition notice

    October 20, 2007

This is a big one, friends!

Announcing an audition for a dramatic reading in the heart of the City! Steven Thomas Bost's long-time-in-the-works, full-length, heavily-hyphenated, comedy-drama The Minervae is receiving a total revamp courtesy of the best talent Manhattan has to offer.

    Audition
    Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007
    12 p.m.
At Shetler Studios, New York City

    http://www.playbill.com/jobs/find/job_detail/18684.html

Auditions are cold readings from sides provided. We are by appointment only, and space is severely limited. For details, see the link above.

This new work opportunity comes via The Loudmouthed Malcontents, a new theatre company big enough to stretch from the fertile concrete of Manhattan to the rock-hard pasture land of the Lehigh Valley! The Loudmouthed Malcontents are Michael Swartz, Rachel McPhee, and Steven Bost ... with more malcontents to follow, no doubt!

And a joyeux Noel to all of you, both those who've been tuning in the Christmas song station since the day after Halloween, as well as those of you with a bit more perspective and moderation. As promised, more detailed information about Bost's latest endeavor, that of the role of Scrooge' nephew Fred in Civic Theatre of Allentown's 2005 production of 'A Christmas Carol.'

    The show runs:
    Dec. 2-17
    Thurs., Fri., Sat. @ 8 p.m.
    Sun. @ 2 p.m.

For tickets, simply dial (610) 432-8943. You can also visit civic theatre's link on this very website. Hope to see you there, followers of every faith. (Uh, no Zoroastrians, please.)

    News of Cancellation

    August 04, 2005

On a serious note, we must regretfully announce that Steven Thomas Bost will be withdrawing from Pt. 3 of the 2005 Summer Speakeasy. Worldly concerns interfere, and so it is safer for the entire organization, Bost Worldwide, to cut our losses and beat a strategic retreat.

Special, sincere thanks go out to Brian Donnelly and Andrew Kane for their hard work and dedication in rehearsal, and for their gracious understanding at having to drop the project. Don't worry, boys, we'll make sure The Man Who Broke Space/Time returns to wreak dimensional havoc one of these days soon. But there is good news amongst all this, tragedy treasurers...

'Pants en Fuego' is still slated to go on under the confident helmage of Brian J. Prisco. Look for his works to present at SilkWerks, Allentown Theatre Outlet, N. 4th St., Allentown, next week, Aug. 11-13--and look for featured performer Andrew Kane to make his Outlet debut. Good luck, Brian, Andrew, and all the colorful casts!
